Aruma needs YOU (yes, you!)

At Aruma, we support people with disabilities to live great lives. It is the reason we exist - after all, why should anyone have to settle for anything less? To make this a reality, we rely on the skill and commitment of our Aruma team.

Our Aruma team are incredible people. We are bold, brave and courageous. We see possibilities where others may not. We stand up for the things that matter and stand together as a team. We are serious about human rights and have a knack for finding joy in life - even in the most unexpected places.

When you are part of the Aruma team, you support people, pioneer new paths, challenge assumptions, dare to think differently and tell society to raise the bar higher.

So, who is Aruma? We are glad you asked.

Aruma is a new name in disability services, but we are definitely not new. You might remember us as House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation, two great organisations, with over 100 years of combined experience, who came together in 2018.

There are, however, a few boxes you will need to tick:

Be enthusiastic about supporting people with disabilities to live great lives. The lives they want and choose, putting the people we support first. That is non-negotiable. You will also need:

  • Recognised experience and knowledge in the field of disability with high level competencies in areas of complex behaviour management or high/complex medical needs
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team
  • Knowledge of complex conditions that impact on disability and the capacity to remain up to date with related developments
  • An Advanced Diploma Disability Work or Bachelor of Applied Science (Disability) or equivalent
  • Current Full Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Strong sense of accountability and confidentiality
  • Flexibility in the hours you work each week
  • Experience in personal care and happy for this to be part of your job

Employment, salary, and benefits will be in accordance with Disability Services Enterprise Agreement Victoria 2018 - 2022, classification Level DDSO3A dependent on qualification held.

To be part of the Aruma journey, apply now!

  • Please include a cover letter and a current resume outlining your relevant experience and qualifications
