About your role

As the Director Evaluation and Impact Measurement, you will be at the forefront of driving evidence-based decision making and showcasing the transformative power of the arts. You will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive evaluation and impact measurement program, aligning it with our strategic priorities. Your expertise will help shape our understanding of the impacts generated by our programs and projects, both in the short and long term.

As we transform to Creative Australia, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our research team on impactful new projects initiated by the National Cultural Policy, contributing to the advancement of arts and culture on a national level. What does success look like?

• Developing, planning, and implementing an evaluation and impact measurement program
• Overseeing our equity and diversity commitments, ensuring that evaluation processes reflect our commitment to inclusivity
• Building evaluation capacity and practice across the organisation
• Consulting with internal stakeholders to establish robust standards for data collection
• Providing expert advice, insights, and recommendations on utilising evaluation and impact measurement results in the development and delivery of programs

What you bring

• Relevant degree qualifications coupled with postgraduate studies and/or equivalent work experience
• Leadership experience at a senior management level in a relevant sector
• Expertise in devising and implementing fit-for-purpose evaluation frameworks
• Cultural competence and experience in the field of equity, diversity, and inclusion enhancing cultural safety
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders across multiple channels
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with success in building and maintaining relationships
• Proven ability to successfully lead, coach and develop staff
