Committee Member (Voluntary)

Australian Religious Response to Climate Change

ARRCC is a culturally diverse, multi-faith organisation and a registered Charity, active in working for a safe climate. Our central concern is the people most impacted by the consequences of climate change, including future generations.

See arrcc.org.au.

We seek new members of our friendly leadership team and are particularly interested to meet people from minority faith or cultural backgrounds.

Committee members help develop strategies for engaging faith communities in climate action and oversee the responsible use of ARRCC’s funds. The time commitments are a monthly 2-hour Committee meetings over Zoom (and the pre-reading), a team-building and planning day once a year (in Sydney) and some hours in-between, depending on capacity.

To be a member of the ARRCC Committee, individuals need to be passionate about climate action. It is essential that applicants find their spirituality meaningful, and have the ability to foster positive working relationships in a cross cultural, multi-faith environment.

A position description is attached.
