Arc@UNSW Limited (Arc) is the student organisation at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Arc is dedicated to providing students with the best University life and experience possible at every level of our dynamic organisation. We’re made up of a diverse and vibrant group of people who are passionate about student life and delivering amazing results.

Arc is a not-for-profit, Public Company, Limited by Guarantee, governed by a Board of Directors. The Arc Board is made up of 15 individuals, 8 of whom are directly elected students, 2 indirectly elected students, 2 UNSW appointed staff, 2 UNSW Alumni and the Chief Executive Officer of Arc.

Arc is currently seeking a new UNSW Alumni Director to join the Arc Board. Please note that this role is voluntary. Candidates must be prepared to commit 4-6 hours per month in addition to attendance at Board and Sub-committee meetings. As this position is filling a current vacancy the initial term is through to May 2023, with the opportunity to continue for an additional 2-year term (to May 2025). Arc is seeking suitably qualified candidates, with at least 5 years post-graduate commercial experience, along with the following skills and attributes:

1. UNSW Alumni (mandatory)
2. Alignment and understanding of the culture and mission of the organisation (mandatory)
3. Strong financial acumen (mandatory)
4. Extensive experience in Corporate Governance (highly desirable)
5. Expertise in Strategic Planning and Focus (highly desirable)
6. Comprehensive understanding of Risk Management and compliance (highly desirable)
7. Experience in either retail, marketing, social communities (desirable)
