This is a rare opportunity to join our Direct Supports Team as a Coordinator. This permanent full-time position is site and office based, working inclusively with participants and staff. You will be responsible for the delivery of quality supports and services to participants accessing ARC.
This position is responsible for the delivery of quality supports and services provided to participants accessing Direct Supports, either in their home or community based. Liaising with stakeholders, creating support plans, maintenance of current information, risk assessments, and provision of service delivery are all primary functions of this role.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Coordinating and supporting the ongoing development of Direct Supports and services to help participants achieve their NDIS goals.
- Ensuring Direct Supports and services are within funding guidelines and the principals of the NDIS
- Responsible for staff rostering to ensure adequate support for all activities, taking into consideration the needs and choices of participants
- Work with Participants to achieve their goals in line with their NDIS plan
- Work with Disability Support Workers and Participants to help build capacity and independence
- Engage with Participants, their supports and third-party organisations in a professional manner
- Ensure Direct Supports services are within funding guidelines and the principals of the N.D.I.S.
- Supervision of the Disability Support Worker team ensuring staff are equipped with information, instruction, resources and training.
- Ensure Participant information is maintained and regularly reviewed including personal details, risk assessments, WHS checks, case notes and individual plans.
- Able to assist in a crisis and be available for emergency response
- Ensure essential supports and services are provided to participants as agreed.
- Ensure compliance and quality of service delivery for the Direct Supports site.
- Produce reports, correspondence and attend relevant meetings as required.

Is this you?
- Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in providing support to Individuals
- Excellent knowledge of N.D.I.S. and the SCHADS Award
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Have relevant tertiary qualifications or certificate with relevant experience OR relevant extensive experience in Disability or community services.
- Working with Children (Blue Card) and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) and a Right to Work within Australia
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of legislation, WHS regulations, Fair Work and Modern Awards
- Good IT literacy including data management systems and software
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, time manage
- Interpersonal skills, experience with external service providers
- Undertake pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
