About the role

We are currently seeking a House Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of one of the Melbourne Metro sites, providing supervision to residential support workers in the delivery of a high-quality services.

As House Supervisor, you will work in collaboration with each client’s clinical treating team and assist residents to achieve their goals, gain life skills, reintegrate into their local community, and return to pre-injury capacity as much as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the provision of all aspects of personal care as prescribed in individual support plans.
  • Work with the individual to engage with community, undertake activities of daily living and build capacity in them to manage their support requirements.
  • Manage rosters to ensure all shifts are covered with minimal use of labour-hire staffing.
  • Provide direct support to staff regarding work practices and person-centred planning principles.
  • Work to develop and maintain team morale and effectiveness and provide day-to-day mentoring and best practice knowledge.
  • Work with complex families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with treating teams to address issues and/or implement support plans and strategies.
  • Ensure all data collection (such as QDC & MDS, TAC data) is completed as per funding requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Health & Community Services, Disability or equivalent with a willingness to develop further knowledge in the areas of Acquired Brain Injury, Justice, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis
  • Commitment to the arbias vision, mission and objectives and alignment with organisational values.   
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • Current WWCC Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • First Aid certificate with CPR
  • Mental Health Experience (desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a house supervisor (essential)
