About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at AQA, you'll embark on a journey of meaningful collaboration and transformation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments, providing interventions, and advocating for clients with complex needs.
  • Collaborating closely with clients to identify goals and co-design personalised strategies for empowerment.
  • Ensuring seamless transitions for clients through our organisation, fostering continuity of care and support.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of NDIS, relevant legislation, and clinical practices, while prioritising a strength-based approach in all interactions.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a dynamic individual who embodies our values and thrives in a collaborative, client-centred environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Standards and framework.
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
  • Experience in mental health is preferred, with a passion for addressing the psychosocial aspects of physical disability.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and expertise in assistive technology and environmental adaptations.
  • A deep understanding of the ICF and a commitment to inclusivity and community participation.

Pre-Employment Checks

Additionally, they must undergo NDIS Worker Screening, successfully complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’, and obtain a Working with Children Check. Candidates must also demonstrate a willingness to obtain a criminal record check and provide references.
