APNIC is the Internet’s Regional Internet Registry (RIR) for the Asia Pacific region, supporting the Internet’s most essential infrastructure, and responsible for the management of Internet number resources (i.e. IP addresses and AS numbers).

A key mission of APNIC is to support Internet development in the Asia Pacific Region. This role will work in the Development Area of APNIC, to drive key projects and initiatives forward that support the mission. This Area includes the Training Delivery Team, Training Curriculum Team, Academy Product Team, Security Team, and Community Trainers Network, with the support of APNIC Foundation.

Key projects and initiatives:

  • Design a full training certification
  • Content and curriculum management with multiple language requirements
  • University and training partner engagement in various economies in the region

The role is suited to a motivated individual with previous experience in education and training, skills development, project management and course development. The role is being offered on a full-time 2 year contract.

About You

To be successful in the role:

  • You have strategic and operational expertise in designing and developing high quality educational projects and initiatives.
  • You are experienced in the Information Technology field (either by experience of by qualification) or fluent in Internet technologies.
  • You have experience in the education and training sector, such as, Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and/or Industry Certifications and/or skills development program experience.
  • You have experience in supporting training programs with attendees/students from various cultural background.
  • You think pragmatically and constantly look for the best solution. You also have excellent oral and written communication and consultation skills.

It would also be nice if your background included:

  • Knowledge of the Asia Pacific region
  • Experience working in Agile teams
  • Industry engagement/stakeholder engagement skills
