Do you have a passion for empowering people with disability to live independently and thrive in their communities? Are you a strong leader with a background in NDIS-supported services? Apex Care is looking for a skilled Supported Independent Living (SIL) Coordinator to take charge of managing our SIL homes and shaping high-quality, person-centred support.
Your Role
As a SIL Coordinator, you'll lead the delivery of exceptional NDIS SIL services. From overseeing daily operations and coordinating staff to ensuring participant wellbeing and compliance, this role is perfect for someone who can balance efficiency, compassion, and strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across our SIL homes
- Collaborate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure care aligns with NDIS goals and practice standards
- Lead and mentor support staff to work effectively with complex needs
- Maintain rosters, approve timesheets, and manage workforce performance
- Uphold compliance with restrictive practices and Quality & Safeguards Commission guidelines
- Foster business sustainability and growth across SDA, STA, MTA, and Home Care services
- Facilitate participant onboarding and build strong community networks
- Provide after-hours on-call support and conduct regular site visits
- Drive performance reviews and staff development plans
About You
- Certificate IV in Disability (essential); Diploma or Bachelor's in Community Services or equivalent, Medical /Nursing background (highly desirable)
- 3+ years' experience coordinating SIL or similar disability support services
- Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and behavioural support
- Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills
- Current First Aid, CPR and NDIS Worker Screening Check
