Within the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy, the Centre for Indigenous
Economic Transformation (CIET) is an Indigenous-led national hub advancing First Nations economic self-determination through research, policy, partnerships and education.
Based at The Australian National University, CIET works with First Nations organisations, governments, industry and philanthropy to drive practical, systems-level change across areas including economic empowerment, capital access, trade and investment, cleanenergy transition opportunities and Indigenous-led governance.
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Research Advisor to support the Centre’s applied research agenda during a significant growth phase.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Research and Engagement, you will help shape and deliver high-quality applied research that supports Indigenous economic empowerment and informs policy, practice and public debate.

This is a strategic and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across research, engagement and systems-level change in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
You are a thoughtful and highly capable research professional with strong analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.
You bring:
Experience working in Indigenous policy, economic development, public policy, academia or social impact settings will be highly regarded.
