Anglicare NT is the lead agency of headspace Darwin and Palmerston. headspace is a busy and innovative youth mental health service, providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional (groups) and social services to young people (aged 12 to 25 years) and their families.

About the Position

As an integral part of our headspace team, you will provide leadership, management and support to our highly productive reception and administration team across both headspace Darwin and headspace Palmerston who provide a wide variety of support to both employed and contracted staff.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration duties of the service and provide confidential, timely and effective administrative support to staff within the headspace service.

As the Team Leader, you will have a passion for providing a supportive and engaging workplace for your staff. You will bring to headspace your extensive experience in administration management within a health clinic. Strong communication and rapport building skills are essential to ensure strong ongoing communication with staff across headspace and Anglicare NT.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant qualification in Business Administration or similar field, with minimum 5 years administration experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of administration and reception processes. Knowledge of Medicare billing processes is desirable
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to improving the social and emotional wellbeing of young people and their families.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skill, communication and organisational skills, and ability to liaise with range of internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working withChildren (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current NT manual driver’s license.

Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
