About headspace

headspace provides early intervention mental health services to 12–25-year-olds. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

About the Opportunity

The role of the Chair is to provide independent leadership to the headspace Katherine Consortium. The Chair will be appointed for one year, with the option to extend should both parties be satisfied. The Chair may only hold the position for three consecutive years. The Consortium has two main purposes:

  • To outline priority areas and advice regarding the strategic direction of the headspace Katherine service.
  • To create a network to discuss youth mental health issues within the Greater Katherine region, to identify gaps and provide leadership to share and discuss ideas on how to meet these needs.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s license.
