The Mental Health Carer Respite Service provides a range of flexible respite and support options for carers and families of people with severe mental illness. The aim of the service is to provide support to assist carers and families to maintain their caring role.
The Mental Health Carer Respite Support Worker is responsible for the delivery of mental health services, to support individuals, carers and families in the context of their community. The program is funded by the Department of Health and Humans Services to provide planned respite opportunities / services for carer's and adult consumers 18-65 years living with a mental illness. Programs are delivered within a recovery-focused framework. The position is based in Swan Hill with some regional travel required as part of the role.
