The Mental Health Carer Respite Support Worker is responsible for the planning of respite activities for carers and care recipients and to facilitate respite groups to support individuals, carers and families in the context of their community. The program is funded by the Department of Health to provide planned respite opportunities / activities for carers and adult consumers 18-65 years living with a mental illness. Programs are delivered within a recovery-focused framework. The position is based in Swan Hill or Mildura with extensive regional travel required as part of the role.
