At Anglicare Victoria our focus is on transforming the futures of children and young people, families and adults. Our work is based on three guiding pillars, Prevent, Protect, Empower. We offer a comprehensive network of services and seek to ensure the provision of high-quality services that will bring about significant improvements in the life experience of the young people, children and families/caregivers with whom we work.
The AOD Family Reunification Clinician works within a dynamic AOD & Youth Services team who are part of the Southwest Melbourne AOD catchment and work extensively with other specialist external stakeholders.
The role is responsible for assessment and counselling, and care and recovery to parents who are required to comply with AOD treatment conditions as part of their child’s family reunification order.
The key purpose of the program is counselling with a focus on practical and emotional goal-focused support (including home-based support) to a caseload of families including children, parents and other carers. We work to reduce AOD related harms to individuals and their families by conducting assessments and providing a range of counselling and care and recovery interventions.
The program is co-located with Odyssey House Victoria and the position will be supported by the clinical Co-ordinator of the Southwest catchment as well as the Anglicare Team Leader and leadership team.
What our people say- “AV is an organisation where if you want to challenge yourself or explore opportunities, you don’t have to leave to do that. There are so many great people, programs and services, so it’s an organisation where you have great conditions for growth and development”.
