At Anglicare Southern Queensland, we believe everyone has a story. With a 150-year heritage, we exist for individuals of all life stages who may be experiencing challenges or entering a new phase of life. Our skilled staff deliver a breadth of care-based services across a vast geographic footprint, and in many types of locations.
Anglicare Southern Queensland is proud to deliver the new Staying on Track Program in a number of regions including, Brisbane South, Brisbane North, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich / Inala and Toowoomba. The Staying on Track Programs are part of the Queensland Government's Making Queensland Safe plan funded by the Qld Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support.
The purpose of the Staying On Track (SoT) program is to improve community safety and reduce reoffending by bridging the transition to the community when young people are released from detention to help youth offenders turn their lives away from crime. Anglicare works in partnership with the Department of Youth Justice to ensure every young person will have a plan tailored to meet the assessed risks, needs and level of response required and focus on reducing the risk of reoffending by supporting them to prepare for a productive future in employment and community life.
This role involves active outreach across the community, the courts, detention centres, and watchhouses.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Practitioner, Youth Justice to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, based within Ipswich/Inala.
As a Practitioner, you will play a critical frontline role supporting young people aged 10-17 who are involved in the youth justice system. Working closely with their families, carers, and relevant stakeholders, you will deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe, and evidence-based case management support-both while young people are in detention and following their release.
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are committed to client centred practice, restorative approaches, and creating meaningful change in the lives of young people.
If you are a resilient, compassionate, and reflective practitioner who thrives in dynamic environments, we would love to hear from you.
