The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.
We are looking for a self-motivated person to take the lead in delivering Anglicare's Records Management Program including the establishment and implementation of organisational wide processes for responding to requests to access records and delivering training and support to staff. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of records management processes, including the appropriate archival and destruction of existing records, with a particular focus on ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. They will be able to work well with a diverse range of staff across all sites to ensure records management complies with Anglicare's requirements.
Anglicare's services aim to support people in our communities, often through challenging circumstances. Given the nature of some records, an understanding of vicarious trauma and/or historical redress claims would be beneficial. The ability to maintain the confidentiality of records is essential.
Qualifications in records management or business administration would be an advantage.
The hourly rate for this position is $37.54 to $40.39 plus 10.5% (as of 1 July 2022) employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status. Anglicare also offers other benefits including additional personal leave and paid parental leave.
Applicants will be required to undertake personality and behavioural assessments and must obtain a Working with Children Clearance through the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW) or, a Working with Vulnerable People clearance through the Office of Regulatory Services (ACT) and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment. Applicants must also be physically able to undertake all requirements of the job, which will include travel to Anglicare worksites and lifting of archive boxes.
For all enquiries, please contact Emily Purvis on 0428 171 501 (during business hours Monday - Thursday).
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
