Our specialised speech pathology practice provides trauma-informed, neuro-affirming support for adolescents and adults engaged in services and systems relating to NDIS, Justice, and child protection. 

We are a small, growing team based in Brunswick and working across the Melbourne Metropolitan area. Our practice is built around connection, collaboration, and curiosity; we are committed to making a meaningful difference through reflective practice and ethical decision-making.

This role offers the freedom to work from home, or from our friendly clinic space, co-located with an occupational therapy practice. Situated in the historic House building at Balam Balam Place, our premises share a lively and beautiful community setting in the heart of Brunswick.

Duties

  • Complete communication and mealtime assessments and reports.
  • Provide trauma-informed speech pathology services.
  • Collaborate with client teams to support holistic outcomes.
  • Deliver training to support teams.
  • Support communication accessibility projects.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, supervision, and reflective practice.

Skills and Prerequisites

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
  • Passion for trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and person-centred care.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient writing skills and willingness to complete formal reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and within a supportive team.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing learning.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle during work hours.
  • Current Working with Children Check.

Salary Package

  • Base Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 depending on experience + achievable bonuses.
  • Bonuses: Fortnightly bonuses for contributions beyond billables.
  • Leave: 4 weeks annual leave + CPD leave + volunteer leave.
  • CPD Support: $2,000 annual budget + 2 paid CPD leave days.
  • Extras: Travel reimbursement, professional AI subscription, tech and therapy resources, and professional indemnity insurance.
  • Start Date: Negotiable - we’re happy to wait for the right person.
