About Us:

We are an Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty-con­trolled organ­i­sa­tion com­mit­ted to achiev­ing health equi­ty for Abo­rig­i­nal peo­ple in the Bark­ly region. To achieve our goal, we employ over 150 peo­ple across a diverse range of roles in each of our key sec­tions of Health Ser­vices, Pub­lic Health, Stronger Fam­i­lies and Cor­po­rate Services.

About the Role:

Working closely with the HR Advisor, you will learn and undertake:

  • Maintenance and update of Job Descriptions
  • Recruitment for vacancies
    • Screening applications
    • Shortlisting
    • Arranging interviews
    • Reference checking
    • Communicating with applicants throughout the process
  • Maintenance of employment and recruitment records and database
  • HR administration support
  • Assistance with organisation employment exhibition at local schools

About You:

  • You are respectful of Aboriginal culture and protocols
  • Demonstrated a commitment to HR administration and developing a knowledge of Work Health Safety legislation
  • Knowledge and understanding of your role in an Aboriginal community controlled environment
  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaborate with different departments
  • Demonstrated experience in database management and record keeping
  • Basic computer skills and prepared to become fully proficient
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • Ochre Card / Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain)
