The Role

Working with a team of professionals you will provide support, operational and supervisory management. You will be the pivotal professional for the front door programs including Service Coordination of the Social Work Team, Corporate Reception and IAT as well as Individual and Family Support services. You will be required to lead on matters related to supporting individuals and families as well as planning for Individual and Family Support client work. You will be well versed across working within the realms of homelessness, complex needs, drug and alcohol misuse and family violence using an integrated model of support as an entry point for information provision for the organisation.

Description

You will be based at the head office and as the lead Program Manager you will work with community partnerships and you will be a motivated leader who is used to conducting holistic assessments and case management coordination. You will need to be comfortable in leading and managing a team of up to ten people, amazing career progression is encouraged.

  • Boost the volume of teams to determine referral trails and partnership opportunities for the benefit of clients through the delivery of timely and current information about systems, services and programs
  • Continue to cultivate and grow each team’s capacity to respond to the range of needs and issues that require response, with precise focus on handling risk including matters related to mental health, family violence and child safety
  • Facilitate a collaborative and supportive team dynamic that results in the sharing of ideas.
  • Ensure teams operate within modern practices that take into account changes and development in the service framework.

Profile

The Candidate (Essential)

  • Social Work and/or Community Sector Management tertiary qualifications (essential)
  • Knowledge of the sector across community welfare and health (mental health, AOD family violence experience)
  • Eligible for a membership to Australian Association of Social Workers
  • A passion for social work and a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Previous experience in managing a team and evidence of leadership skills to achieve successful outcomes (minimum 5 years at least)
  • Valid Police Check and Working with Children’s Check is essential
  • Friendly, approachable and professional manner
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously, leading from the front
  • Fantastic work ethic and strong foundation and understanding of social justice
