We are seeking an experienced and motivated Green Industry Project Officer to support the ACTU’s work advancing green industry development in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to major national policy and industrial priorities, including the transition to a net zero economy and the creation of secure, union jobs in emerging industries.

Reporting to the Climate & Energy Manager, the Green Industry Project Officer will play a key role in advancing ACTU priorities on green industry and manufacturing.
You will work closely with affiliated unions, trades and labour councils, and civil society partners to support policy development, coordinate campaigns, and drive outcomes that ensure the energy transition delivers strong economic and job creation outcomes for working people.
This role is focused on accelerating the development of green industries in Australia, ensuring these industries generate high-quality union jobs, particularly in regions at the forefront of the energy transition.
