Always wanted to work with ActNow Theatre? Then we’d love to hear from you! We’re expanding our team of school workshop facilitators/performers that deliver our award-winning programs in schools. More information about our programs can be found here: www.actnowtheatre.org.au/projects.

We’ll be holding open ‘get-to-know-you’ workshops in early February with applications closing January 30th. Successful applicants will be offered casual paid work throughout 2020 (varying hours, typically between 2-8 hours per week, with some full-time weeks available and some periods of no shifts due to bookings).

We’re particularly on the lookout for people (ideally 18-30 years old) who are:

  • First Nations actors/facilitators with any level of experience
  • Muslim actors/facilitators with any level of experience
  • East and South-East Asians actors/facilitators with any level of experience
  • Professionally trained actors to play caucasian young male characters
  • Professionally trained actors from any diverse cultural background not listed above

ActNow Theatre creates youth lead, socially conscious theatre projects. Working from our base in Adelaide, we collaborate with young people and community groups to create projects that are innovative, informed, inspiring, and often confronting but never conventional. ActNow Theatre is known for its work with forum theatre and particularly its theatre projects of ‘Responding to Racism’ and ‘Speak Out’ addressing homophobia.
