This local support is a key recommendation of theRoyal Commission into Victoria's mental health system and promises to make our community a better place to live.
Wellways, Albury Wodonga Health and Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO), are working together to provide mental health and wellbeing supports in Benalla & Wangaratta to ensure everyone can access treatment and care closer to home.
The Benalla & Wangaratta Mental Health and Wellbeing Local provides welcoming and inclusive support for peopleaged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health challenges, including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug addiction treatment and care needs.
We are working with the local community and people who have a personal experience of mental health issues and recovery to build these services so they are the best they can be.

The Support & Connect Lead is employed by ACSO and will support the ongoing operations for the Benalla, Wangaratta and Mansfield Mental Health and Wellbeing Local. The role requires experience in the ongoing delivery of entry point access to mental health services in a community-led, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
The role will be responsible for leading the Peer Work, Intake and Assessment, Care Co-ordination, Service Navigation and Wellbeing Interventions at the Local Service. A key component of this role is to support the peer navigator workforce to work with clients and carers whilst they remain engaged with the service. This will be undertaken with the goal of improving outcomes for participant, carers, and the wider community.
