About us

The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) is the national regulator of charities, and we maintain a free online searchable register of charity information. 

As the only government agency working exclusively with charities, we contribute to public trust and confidence, work to support independence and innovation, and promote the reduction of unnecessary regulatory obligations in the sector. 

We assess new applications for registration, provide guidance and resources to promote good charity governance, and help charities meet their obligations. We also investigate concerns, taking action where necessary.

About the role

As a Trust and Identity Manager, you will lead identity and access management and related trust controls, including access governance, authentication, and assurance activities that support cyber risk management, covering workforce identity, public identity for the Charity Register and Portal, and partner/API trust. 

This role is critical to ensuring the right people have the right access at the right time, and that our systems are secure, auditable, and trusted by both staff and the public.

Your duties

• Lead identity and access management across workforce and public services
• Oversee trust-impacting changes from vendors (networks, infrastructure)
• Deliver measurable uplift in security controls and assurance outcomes

Skills and experience

• Translate cyber risk into clear business impacts
• Proven vendor management and outsourced service oversight capability
• Experience coordinating cyber assurance and producing audit-ready evidence
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and technical teams
