What is the role?
- 1 x FT ongoing Clinical Assessor position is available in our Adelaide team (North/ West / East Metro).
Here is a typical week:
- Have meaningful interactions with participants and their carers across Residential Aged Care Facilities and document this interaction using the digital tools.
- You love driving. The reality of our role is we spend a lot of time driving between facilities and listening to many podcasts, audio books and Taylor Swift (okay, Taylor is not for everyone).
- You enjoy the sense of belonging and support that comes from being part of a team with a dedicated Senior Clinical Lead whilst benefiting from our national ‘teams of teams’ approach.
- Contribute to the future reforms in aged care using your daily work and the feedback you provide that will be shared with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.

There are minimum mandatory requirements for this role:
- Qualification requirement – fully qualified Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a minimum of five (5) years qualified.
- Currently hold and maintain unrestricted registration with AHPRA and do not have any matters pending which may result in restrictions.
- Upon employment, obtaining mandatory accreditation through the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing for the RAC Funding program or providing evidence of prior completion and currency of practice
- Minimum five (5) years' demonstrated experience delivering services in an aged care setting and/or to aged persons including people living with dementia whilst AHPRA registered, this can include relevant experience in Australia and overseas.
Before starting work with us, as part of the compliance process, you will need to undertake a national police check, complete a pre-placement health questionnaire, provide evidence of your driver's license and vaccination history (including COVID-19 and Influenza).

Once we receive your application we will contact you about the next stages of the process – usually within a week but it could be faster! Our recruitment process is a little different to most. We use lots of activities to give you an opportunity to understand how we work and your typical day. We start to get to know you through your application, then we move into group video discussions (GVDs) and end the process with a few hours of activities so you can show us what you are made of.
KEY dates
- We will host 1-hour group video discussions (GVD) from Friday,19 June onwards.
- If you are successful in the GVD you will need to be available for our in-person Recruitment Centre (about 2.5 hours in total) between 1 - 8 July.
- Compliance takes roughly 5 business days to complete.
- Successful candidates must commence on Wednesday, 5 August to attend compulsory four-day, in-person RAC Funding training with the Department.
