When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.
We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by donations from our supporters.
Whether it’s advocating for a clean energy future, the Great Barrier Reef, or the habitat of our beautiful koalas, our dedicated community of over 700,000 supporters are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.
ACF is fortunate to be in a secure financial position due to the ongoing, incredible generosity of our donors. We also have strong operational processes and systems that have seen us take the challenges of COVID in our stride. Our head office is in the Green Building on Melbourne’s CBD fringe and we have three satellite offices around Australia.
Reporting to the Finance & Admin Manager, your role will be to look after the day-to-day administrative needs of our staff across Australia. We’re a high impact organisation working on a wide range of projects so you can expect variety in your work. You’ll be based at head office reception but you can expect to be working with teams throughout the organisation. It’s a high visibility role!
You’ll provide support to staff in our smaller interstate offices and make sure they are looked after as well as the team in the head office. You’ll also be the first port of call for any issues raised by ACF’s tenants in the head office building and working with the building manager to ensure issues are dealt with promptly.
You can expect to get involved in a range of projects across ACF, including participating in supporter and donor events, organising staff meetings and supporting the governance committees. If you like variety in your work and are keen to get stuck in, then the potential for broadening the role is huge!
You’re full of energy and get a buzz from dealing with people all day. You're always on the lookout for new ways to help your teammates be successful. You’re often heard saying, “Can I help you with that?”
You’re a problem-solver and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty if you need to fix things yourself. You’re calm in a crisis and known as the type of person who gets things done.
You enjoy getting stuck into projects from time to time and you’re looking to get exposure to the work going on in other parts of an organisation.
You have had responsibility for admin or office services for at least two years and will hit the ground running in this role. You have a love for nature and want to work for an organisation that’s making a difference.
If this sounds like the step up you have been looking for, we want to hear from you!
Applicants may be contacted to progress to the next stage of recruitment prior to the close date, so get in early! We want to hear from you!
ACF is an equal opportunity employer. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQI people and people with a disability are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this job.
As part of ACF’s recruitment process, a criminal background check will be conducted.
We request no agency contact please.
