The National Campaigner – Climate Change will be responsible for delivering key climate change aspects of ACF’s national campaign to achieve a national net zero emissions target with a credible plan to achieve it in 2021/22.
ACF regards the post COVID economic recovery as an opportunity to rapidly accelerate Australia’s transition to net zero emissions well before 2050. With the Glasgow COP-26 scheduled for November and federal election by May 2022, this period will be the most important ever for advancing emissions reduction and energy policies at the state and federal level. To seize this opportunity, ACF is increasing its capacity with this two-year position.
