Who is the ACF?
For over 60 years, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been Australia’s most respected voice for nature and climate. We are the national environment organisation committed to protecting our unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world.
ACF is inclusive, non-partisan, and proudly funded by the Australian community. Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef, koalas snoozing in big old trees, or strong climate action, our dedicated community of more than half a million people are working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.
In January 2026, ACF will welcome Adam Bandt as our new CEO - a dynamic and visionary leader stepping in at a time when nature and climate need us most. With deep experience and a fearless commitment to change, Adam’s energy and leadership will guide ACF into its next powerful chapter.
This is a thrilling time to join ACF as we build on a proud 60-year history and leap into the future with bold leadership, renewed momentum, and a passionate community behind us.
What’s the gig?
Join the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) as our new Fundraising & Events Coordinator and help connect generous donors and members with the impact they make. This role supports the growth of vital funds that power ACF’s campaigns for climate action and nature protection.
You will coordinate inspiring donor events, manage donor communications, and prepare heartfelt impact reports. You will also conduct research to identify new major-gift opportunities and assist with acquittals for philanthropic contributions as well as diving into research and stewardship to support future fundraising growth.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys event planning, building relationships, and seeing the real-world results of their work.
About you!
Are you a detail-driven organiser with a passion for donor engagement and environmental impact? Join our dynamic fundraising team as we scale up to meet ambitious goals. We’re looking for someone who thrives on managing event logistics, juggling budgets, and conducting smart research to uncover new donor prospects. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and make a meaningful difference, this role could be your next big move.
You’ll bring at least two years of experience in event or project management, along with sharp organisational and problem-solving skills. Your ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with ease will be key to supporting our donor engagement efforts. You’re confident working with data and research to identify potential supporters, and you’re comfortable navigating CRM databases and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Bonus points if you’ve worked in fundraising or major donor engagement within the not-for-profit sector, or if you have experience with email marketing automation. Flexibility is important too - you’re willing to work occasional (paid) evenings or travel when needed to support our mission.
If you’re excited about contributing to a cause that protects Australia’s environment and inspires community support, we’d love to hear from you.
Why work with us?
You’ll do important work with one of Australia’s most impactful organisations, and with our world-class organisational culture and great team, we guarantee you’ll have fun along the way.
