Who is the ACF?

When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.

We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by the Australian community.

Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef , koalas snoozing in big old trees or for strong climate action, our dedicated community of over 700,000 supporters are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.

What’s the gig?

ACF is making a significant investment in its research and investigations capacity to punch through the opaque and seemingly intractable threats to our environment. Together with a skilled investigations team, you will be instrumental in progress towards fixing broken political and business systems and securing a protected, healthy and vibrant natural world.

About You

This role will suit an independent minded person with a strong investigative, research and primary evidence gathering background. This skillset will be complemented by an ability to communicate with and inspire volunteers to engage in investigations work.

The Community Investigations Coordinator will be: highly motivated; attentive to detail; persistent, kind; and able to win the confidence of others. They should also be able to get across complex legislation and regulatory requirements and compare these to on-ground conditions.
