The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a Member based not-for-profit organisation responsible for the training, assessment and continuing professional development of emergency physicians as well as the advancement of professional standards in emergency medicine in Australia and New Zealand.

ACEM Membership encompasses various virtual communities known as ACEM Networks, serving as platforms for members with specific interests to connect and exchange their expertise and experiences collectively.

The Position

We have an exciting opportunity within our Member Experience team and wider Membership, Development and Promotion Department.

As a Member Experience Officer, you will support the Member Experience Manager in assessing and improving departmental processes with a particular focus on providing seamless support for ACEM Networks. This involves facilitating effective communication, mediating online content and chat interactions, and assisting in organising Network events and meetings. The role also focuses on identifying opportunities for cross-connecting Networks to enable collaboration and synergy within the organisation enhancing our Membership offering.

Some of the key responsibilities of this include:

  • Scheduling, organising, and minute taking for Network meetings. Providing associated reports to parent committees.
  • Support network events.
  • Serve as the liaison between ACEM Networks and the College, acting as the primary point of contact for any college support required for ACEM Networks activities such as events, communication, training, and CPD pathways.
  • Support the Members Experience Manager in examining, exploring, and identifying opportunities for all ACEM Networks to collaborate across the College.
  • Work In collaboration with the Governance team to ensure that Network governance processes, including relevant policies and Terms of Reference, are up to date.
  • Review existing web-based content for Networks and ensure that outward-facing content regarding Networks is up to date.

To be successful in this role you will require the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with Project Management platforms
    • Monday.com is desirable
  • Prior admin experience
  • Be comfortable working with all sorts of different people
  • Can understand different situations
  • Be quick to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Be organised and able to follow a plan

This is a permanent position based at our head office in West Melbourne.

We will consider full-time applicants and part-time applicants who can work 4 days a week.
