You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with mental health conditions in accordance with their NDIS plan. Your day-to-day tasks will include meeting clients in their home and local communities, implement support plans, and delivering person-centered care. You will work closely with participants, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to promote their well-being and help them achieve their goals.

Your workload is outlined by funds within NDIS plans. It may take sometime to build hours. However, you will establish an ongoing roster of clients that you see regularly.

  • Knowledge of the NDIS and experience working with participants
  • Capacity to fulfill outreach work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Empathy, understanding, and the ability to build rapport with individuals
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 6-12 months experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Car insurance
  • NDIS worker screen check (willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children's Check
  • CPR certificate (willingness to obtain)
