Participant Acquisition & Engagement Coordinator

abrs

Help people access the right support and help build a growing, values-led service from the ground up.

Our Client, a growing disability services provider, is expanding across the Hills District and Greater Western Sydney, and we’re looking for a warm, proactive relationship builder to be the first point of contact for participants and families, as well as a key driver of community outreach and referral partnerships.

As Participant Acquisition & Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be a community-facing ambassador, leading outreach and relationship-building activities, following up enquiries and leads, and helping new participants feel supported from the very first conversation. You’ll be central to building awareness and trust in the community, while guiding participants into services that genuinely help people to live with dignity, independence and confidence.

This is a brilliant opportunity to make your mark and grow your career as the organisation scales.

This role will involve:

  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries: listen, understand needs, and guide people through the next steps of their care journey.
  • Proactively follow up on generated leads in a warm, respectful, and timely manner.
  • Build strong referral relationships with sector subject matter experts (Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, GPs, allied health professionals and community organisations)
  • Represent at community events, expos and local forums to grow visibility and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain referral partnerships across both NDIS and Aged Care (Support at Home) networks.
  • Coordinate participant onboarding with support teams to ensure a smooth, professional experience.
  • Keep CRM records accurate, track engagement activity, and provide progress updates to the management team.
  • Contribute community insights and ideas that shape service growth and strengthen local connections.

The requirements for this role include:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Community Services, Aged Care, Disability, Allied Health or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience in similar roles within NDIS, aged care, intake/outreach, coordination, or community engagement.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and the ability to discuss support plan needs and pathways.
  • Good understanding of the market trend and researching new business development opportunities within the NDIS and disability sectors.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • A self-starter mindset, proactive, outcome-focused, ambitious, and comfortable working autonomously in the community.
  • Exposure to aged care / Support at Home (advantageous)

Additional Information

  • You must be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check and NDIS Check.
  • The role involves regular travel and working outside regular hours to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with office-based in Bella Vista and travelling across the Sydney region for local client/community visits
  • Competitive SCHADS Level 3–4 remuneration + super + STI
