Our vision at Whitelion Youth is for a world where no young person is left behind and where all young people have the right to equitable opportunities to reach their potential. Our staff and volunteers work to support young people at risk to build positive connections and meaningful pathways to work.
Whitelion Youth's Mentoring Support Program is looking for dedicated, professional mentors who are looking to make a positive impact in a disadvantaged young person's life. As a Mentor you would work with a case load of up to 5 young people who are involved in the Child Protection system.
The Mentoring Support program is a community-based therapeutic mentoring model that allows a mentor to work one-on-one with a child or young person in care, or involved with other government departments and is focused on achieving specific goals.
The Mentoring Support Program aims to achieve better social, emotional and educational outcomes by providing mentoring sessions that address key issues and obstacles.
The focus includes assisting young people to develop a vision for their future and provide support to achieve their education, personal and social goals. Flexible working hours available but typically weekdays after school in 3 hour sessions.
