This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women and children who have been affected by domestic/family violence. You will be leading an historic feminist secular organisation with a more than 40 year history in this area of service delivery. You will be leading, supporting and collaborating with a small team of dedicated support and finance workers whose mission is to provide support and educate the community about the causes and effects of domestic/family violence.
In this position:
- You will work with a small team who provide support, referral and advocacy for women and children in a feminist oriented, secular service
- You will be responsible for staff, HR, financial, governance and DHHS accountabilities for the organisation, and lead continuous quality improvement processes, service evaluations, strategic and financial planning cycles, and supply reports to and attend board meetings
- You will develop, improve and maintain organisational policies and procedures, website, and seek opportunities to fundraise and write grant submissions
- You will maintain and develop collaborative and positive relationships with all stakeholders
- You will have experience in working in social services with a proven background of collaborative management and maintaining a positive and inclusive service culture, preferably in the domestic/family violence area or in the mental health, housing or drug and alcohol sectors. Including a proven track record of leading effective and cohesive teams in a social services setting.
- You will have a focus on continuous improvement, be outcomes-focused, working efficiently and accurately, and be passionate about the delivery of high quality services.
- The ability to speak a community language is desirable
