Family and Carer Mental Health Program of Uniting offers education, training and individual support services to families and Carers of those with mental illness, aiming to improve care well-being, resilience, coping skills and relationships.
This Care Peer Worker is responsible for the provision of education, training and individual support services to families and carers of people with mental illness, aiming to improve care well being, resilience, coping skills and relationships.
As the Carer Peer Worker, your duties include but are not limited to:
Qualifications:
Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or working towards
Experience:
Typically this role will require 2 or more years’ experience in your field of expertise. You will be continuing to develop in your area of expertise and be expected to provide innovative ideas to solve problems in your discipline. It is expected that you will be developing good skills at navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required.
