The United Workers Union is seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Marketer in a full time position to join our New Organising team working on the Gen United project. The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Gen United is a community and campaigning project aimed at engaging and activating under 25-year-olds in Australia on the issues that matter to them.

This is a rare opportunity to be working at the cutting edge of campaigning in the Australian Union movement.

You will be working with the Co-ordinator on developing plans to engage under 25s on our campaigns and issues. Producing Ad campaigns that drive young people to our channels and working with our Digital Content Specialist and Digital Organiser to develop journeys from ad click to action.

You will also be researching and testing new social media channels, digital advertising methods and messaging to grow the campaigning knowledge of the union.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage online advertising campaigns.
  • Work with our Digital Content specialist and our Content Creators to create compelling and persuasive content for social media and other digital platforms.
  • Develop and execute digital campaigns for Gen United.
  • Research and test new channels, methods and messaging.
  • In our small team, everyone pitches in where needed.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in executing online advertising campaigns in Meta and Google a must.
  • Knowledge on other platforms will be looked on favourably.
  • Proven experience in digital campaigning, with a focus on social media and content creation.
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills, capable of crafting persuasive content for various digital channels
  • Understanding of key metrics and audience insights
  • Be a team player who thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values and principles of the Australian Union Movement

RENUMERATION

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include

  • Salary of between $88,000 and $103,000
  • 16% superannuation
  • 6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
