The United Workers Union is seeking to employ a highly motivated Organiser in New South Wales.

Candidates with experience in union or related organising and campaigning will be highly regarded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build active and sustainable organising structures that contribute to achieving the Objects of the Union.
Create and work to organising plans ensuring membership growth; member leadership and action; and winning industry power.
Assess and support the development of delegates and members.
Ensure that the Union’s values of equity, diversity and inclusion are upheld and promoted.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

An Organiser demonstrates:

A passion and drive to improve workers’ lives and achieving the goals of the Union;
Good communication, messaging and rapport building skills;
An ability to develop members, including motivating and educating others;
An ability to participate in the unions political and social justice agenda;
An ability to plan and organise work and achieve outcomes.

To perform this job, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:

A valid driver’s licence; and
Right of Entry Permits

REMUNERATION

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:

Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience;
A motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance;
16% superannuation;
6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading.
