ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a high calibre and values driven Manager to ensure a quality client-centred approach to service delivery and to supervise the day-to-day operations of the accommodation and support work services at the Darwin Red Shield Hostel. Key responsibilities include:

• Development of employees through mentoring, coaching and empowerment.
• Development and implementation of strategies to ensure best practice is followed and internal and external service needs are met.
• Ensure case management documentation, records and data is collected in line with TSA policy and procedure.
• Foster an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in delivery to ensure delivery of high-quality support services.

The position is located in Darwin City, Northern Territory.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a full time position, 38 hours per week commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be required to be on call including over weekends.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, level 7.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• Degree level qualifications in a relevant field and/or demonstrated extensive relevant experience in a leadership role or equivalent in the homelessness/crisis accommodation sector.
• Experience and resilience in working with complex clients presenting with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to encourage and lead a team to achieve common goals.
• Acknowledgement and responsiveness to diversity of experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs.
• A current NT drivers licence or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
