Supporting Your Life Pty Ltd (SYL) is a NDIS mental health service provider who works within a person-centred, recovery-oriented framework. We are passionate about providing meaningful support to people with psychosocial disabilities. We provide psychosocial recovery coaching, mental health support work, group activities and counselling services. Our services are in-home, in community, one-on-one, and in group settings.

Objective:
Psychosocial Recovery Coaches aid participants to build their capacity and live a purposeful and meaningful life by developing a respectful and trusted relationship while assisting participants to reach their NDIS plan goals. Psychosocial Recovery Coaches also assist with getting support from mental health services and walk alongside participants in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support participants to build their capacity, understand their NDIS plan and make informed decisions
- Assist participants to identify and implement services to reach their NDIS goals
- Prepare budgets
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, carers and other services
- Assist participants to maintain engagement through periods of increased support needs due to the episodic nature of mental illness
- Research and link participants to services in the community, government and mainstream supports
- Schedule and collate relevant assessments and reports conducted from collaborating services
- Write reports for plan reviews
- Navigate National Disability Insurance Scheme including NDIS Quality Safeguards and Commission
The successful applicant will possess the following:
Qualifications and Certification
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Alcohol and Drugs or equivalent industry experience
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children's Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Valid driver's license, clean and reliable vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
