About the Team
The Corporate Responsibility team drives a shared value culture at Suncorp, influencing business strategies, developing productive stakeholder relationships and building Suncorp’s social licence to operate.
About the role
As the Senior Advisor Corporate Responsibility, you will support programs of work in non-financial performance reporting, environmental sustainability, and supply chain stewardship in close consultation with subject matter experts internally and externally.
More specifically you will
- Work with the business to deliver programs of work in line with Suncorp’s corporate responsibility commitments
- Co-ordinate ongoing development and implementation of Suncorp’s non-financial performance reporting, including target setting and measurement
- Lead and support responses to external environmental, social and governance assessment programs and regulatory reporting requirements
- Drive implementation of Suncorp’s Environmental Performance Plan and support implementation of Suncorp’s Climate Change Action Plan
- Provide strategic advice and support to other Corporate Affairs teams where required, including issues management
- Build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships
Knowledge and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in business or a sustainability-related discipline is highly desired
- Experience in financial services will also be highly regarded
- A minimum of five years’ experience in corporate affairs or corporate responsibility
- Experience in technical corporate sustainability reporting
- Experience in developing effective corporate affairs and corporate responsibility programs
- Strategic thinker with strong planning and project management skills
- Ability to analyse, synthesise and problem solve, with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to engage and effectively manage multiple stakeholder groups
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills, with strong attention to detail
