Staffing Options is a highly principled organisation that values its ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of its customers. Staffing Options is currently seeking a Coordinator – Collaborative Support to join their Brisbane team.

We are currently seeking a professional, mature-minded person who thinks outside of the box when it comes to working with people requiring support with all aspects of staff management and budgeting. This is a role that involves outstanding customer service (both face-to-face and over the phone), working primarily with people who have received a plan under the NDIS, and an intimate knowledge of disability supports.

The role:

  • Work directly with people requiring support, or their family, stakeholders or decision-maker, by assisting them with all aspects of staff management – recruitment, training, rostering, supervision, problem solving and budgeting.
  • Take new requests and work with the person to reach agreement about how Staffing Options can work with them and tailor support to their needs
  • Match direct support staff with person/s requiring support
  • Oversee and/or have direct responsibility for all direct care staff which may include workforce planning, recruitment, succession, retention, performance management and job evaluation
  • Manage and resolve complaints and incidents
  • Administrative responsibilities, including checking the accuracy of staff timesheets, responding to pay queries and checking of invoices
  • Finance responsibilities including the development of budgets for the person or their decision-maker, and then overseeing the service agreement and expenditure to ensure the service is run within the scope of assigned funding
  • High level team work, requiring collaborative relationship building with people both internally and externally

What we seek:

  • Experience working with people with disability and coordinating their supports, including disability support workers, is essential
  • Broad experience in communities/disabilities sector
  • A minimum of +3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing support budgets
  • Reliable, friendly and warm with a mature and positive nature
  • Experience and understanding of the nature of issues in working and handling matters of a sensitive and confidential nature
  • A high level of computer literacy
  • Current Disability Services Positive Notice Card or the ability to obtain one
  • Current First Aid Certificate, CPR and Drivers Licence
