The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education. 

We are seeking an experienced Intranet Manager to join our family. Reporting to the National Manager, Communications and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Intranet site working within the Communications team and working closely with team members across the organisation. This position offers part time flexibility at 4 day per week, but if you are seeking more, we can also offer fulltime hours.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Offer business support and resolution of technical problems related to the SharePoint environment
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and translate business requirements into technical SharePoint content requirements
  • Administer SharePoint Online services and keep our Intranet document management, collaboration, workflow, and search functioning and up to date
  • Manage SharePoint site configuration, including creating and managing sites and libraries, managing access groups and controls, training team members on SharePoint content creation
  • Manage the SharePoint platform to ensure system health, including configuration, installation, and monitoring of SharePoint features and tools
  • Stay up to date with SharePoint developments
  • Provide knowledge and advice on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 (M365) Power Platform functionality to business users
  • Multitask projects with varying complexity and maintain a focus on quality to achieve key outcomes
  • Continually assess the SharePoint environments against industry best practices and trends  

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in related field, or recognised experience
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a SharePoint administrator
  • Proficiency in SharePoint tools, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks​​​
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft enterprise software, Microsoft 365
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements into technology solutions
  • Knowledge of  best practices for system development lifecycle management, architecture and design, project management, internal communications and change management
