This position is responsible for leading the marketing, communications and engagement function across Shepparton Retirement Villages.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing, Communications and Engagement Manager will have the ability to strategically plan and implement communications and marketing plans across the organisation with a high degree of creativity and innovation, linking multi-platform content that aligns with the brand and key organisational objectives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for engaging with community stakeholders, promoting the Shepparton Villages brand and coordinating partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and PR strategy that assists the organisation in maximising revenue and occupancy;
- Plan and create high-quality communications for internal and external stakeholders inclusive of all print and electronic marketing collateral, key messaging, resident and family communications and alternative advertising forums;
- Manage social media platforms and media relationships;
- Maintain, update and manage the ongoing development of the organisation’s website;
- Provide advice to the CEO, Board, Executive and staff on all matters pertaining to Communications, Corporate Image, PR and community engagement;
- Implement, maintain and evaluate a consumer and key stakeholder engagement strategy, inclusive of fundraising opportunities;
- Undertake risk management strategies including communications crisis planning;
- Protect and manage Shepparton Villages brand internally and externally, inclusive of staff internal training and oversight of brand utilisation and marketing collateral;
- Formulate policies and procedures relating to communications, marketing and public relations;
- Represent Shepparton Villages at public events and stakeholder networking.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Formal qualifications or equivalent experience in journalism, communications/marketing or a related professional field managing stakeholder communications;
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills;
- Solid ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, inclusive of community and internal working relationships;
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement;
- Outstanding influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills;
- High degree of attention to detail;
- Proficiency with social media platforms and Microsoft suite;
- Photography and video/editing skills;
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects/requests concurrently, to a high standard and within agreed deadlines and budgets
- Exceptional degree of integrity and professionalism, adhering to the Shepparton Villages values of Choice, Respect, Care, Passion and Teamwork;
- At least 5 years’ experience** in a related role.
**Experience in a similar role in aged care while not a pre-requisite, would be an advantage.
