We are seeking an experienced Trainer/Assessor to mark assessments for the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program against the Australian Core Skills Framework. Working across both the Casuarina and Palmerston Campuses, you will also have the opportunity to step in occasionally as a Trainer for the Skills for Education and Employment Program.

The Position

As an AMEP/ SEE Trainer/Assessor your responsibilities will include:

• Marking of assessments for the intake of the SEE and Adult Migrant English Programs against the Australian Core Skills Framework.
• When required deliver engaging and meaningful activity-based Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital training.
• Provide flexible learning delivery, adapting resources and delivery methods to meet the individual needs and goals of clients.
• The ability to problem solve and overcome challenges to meet the requirements of the contract.
• Undertake accurate assessment and record keeping to ensure compliance and consistency.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a current Certificate IV Training and Assessment - 40116
• Be willing to obtain the Foundation Skills Upgrade Units - TAESS00009
• A strong understanding of the Australia Core Skills Framework
• Evidence of 2 COVID Vaccinations
• Hold an OCHRE Card or be willing to obtain before commencement
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• A current Open Drivers Licence
• Willingness to complete a National Police Clearance (paid for by STEPS Group Australia)
