The program

Meals on Wheels is for anyone that is no longer able to prepare meals, or has difficulty preparing their own meals. This may be due to age, disability or a temporary condition. The service includes providing daily fresh and frozen meals delivered to our participant's doorsteps and at the same time a regular check on well being through social chats.

The opportunity

As a volunteers you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds. You are required to have good interpersonal skills to engage in a friendly chat with our clients to ensure their well being and independence as otherwise they might have limited opportunities to so. The role also requires you to be punctual and available to work between 9.30 AM and 1.30 PM.

The impact

As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you’ll help improve the quality of life and well being of people who are elderly or have disability by connecting them with services in their local community. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
