• Enable Red Cross to provide a volunteer Patient Transport service for people to attend essential medical appointments for up to a six week period and who meet the established criteria.
• Transport community members from local areas to essential medical appointments in Melbourne.

The role

The Australian Red Cross Patient Transport Service provides transport for eligible persons to essential hospital and / or doctor's appointments.

The service is provided by Red Cross volunteers driving a Red Cross fleet vehicle, transporting clients to and from medical appointments.

As a Patient Transport Volunteer Driver you will be included in a roster depending on your availability.

You will be responsible for picking up clients from their homes and driving them to essential medical appointments.

The Red Cross Patient Transport Service is in demand and you may be required to transport several clients within one day, ensuring clients arrive at their appointments on time.

About you

• To become a Patient Transport Driver you will be located in the Mrnignton area, and will have a current Victorian Drivers licence.
• Your ability to communicate with a diverse range of clients and have empathy for clients needs is an essential requirement for this role.
• We are currently looking for drivers that are confident driving within Melbourne CBD Mornington.
