Are you ready for a positive change? PANDA has an exciting part-time opportunity for a Counsellor who is passionate about supporting the emotional and mental wellbeing of expecting and new parents.

As a national organisation, PANDA works to reduce the impact of perinatal anxiety and depression throughout pregnancy and the first year of a child’s life. Left untreated, these common and serious mental health concerns can be devastating for parents, babies and the family unit. The Intensive Care Coordination Program works with a small number of families to provide targeted service coordination, telephone counselling and case management where people are experiencing severe and complex perinatal mental illness that impacts their capacity to care for themselves or their baby. 

This role would suit Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors and similarly qualified professionals with a commitment to the emotional and mental wellbeing of expecting and new parents. An understanding of the value of lived experience and a recovery-focused outlook are also vital to this role. Prior experience working in perinatal mental health is valuable but not necessary.
