We are currently seeking to appoint a Payroll Officer on a part time (4 day per week) temporary basis, with the possibility of longer term work.
The Payroll Officer is responsible for administering high quality, accurate payroll services within the organisation. This includes receiving and processing payroll data such as time sheets, salary packaging, superannuation and leave applications.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and on time;
- Collating, entering and reviewing timesheets for all employees (300 staff), including calculating overtime, public holidays and leave;
- New starters, termination calculations and record maintenance;
- Compliance of Awards/EBA's and Legislation;
- Transmit Payroll data to the ATO via Singletouch payroll;
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures;
- Distribution of payslips to employees;
- Weekly, monthly and adhoc reporting as required;
- Being a key point of contact for all payroll queries.
Skills and Experience:
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Able to demonstrate excellent time management skills;
- Previous experience in a payroll environment;
- Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and meet deadlines;
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to follow instructions and show resourcefulness;
- Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of team;
- Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Minimum 2 years experience in payroll administration.
