Monash Newborn, situated in the Monash Children’s hospital, is a 64 bed medical and surgical neonatal unit, with a reputation for delivering outstanding family centred care to neonates. Monash Newborn operates as a single unit with 2 Nurse Managers who look after the daily operations and staff management across Sunbird and Kingfisher teams.

As a Registered Nurse in Monash Newborn - NEST, you will play a crucial role in the care and support of premature and critically ill newborns. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients.
You’ll enjoy the variety and challenge that comes from working with likeminded skilled senior staff and clinical mentors, while being supported by others across the program and across our large, complex health service.
We work within a team model of care - and in practicing within this model, we provide our patients and their families, a consistency in their care provision and clear communication across their journey.
We have fixed term and ongoing, full and part time opportunities across a 24 hour rotating roster
We offer within 2 years of employment, the opportunity to complete a Post Grad Certificate, or a pathway to Masters in Neonatal Intensive care.
You have been developing your clinical skills as a Registered Nurse within SCN and NICU or are looking to move from an acute setting and are looking to grow your career, showing your commitment and passion for Family Centred Care.
