We empower people to promote mental wellbeing strategies and have conversations that save lives. To date we have hosted over 50,000 Australians in our interactive programs. Our programs host stories of lived experience using professional actors and trained up health care workers to support resilience-building using role play techniques.

Mind Blank is led by the Founder and CEO Ally Kelly. Her professional background is in psychology and the creative arts. To date she had dedicated over 12 years supporting the charity and 2021 she became a Suicide Prevention Australia award winner for her outstanding contribution to the sector. What you’ll be doing

Mind Blank is growing rapidly with existing projects in the Canberra and surrounding regions expansion plans. To support our rapid growth we are looking for program facilitators to delivery our mental health programs in schools and in the broader community. This is a casual engagement with flexible and varied hours, although the availability to work fortnightly is essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The major objectives for the Program Facilitator roles are:

• Deliver early intervention program workshop programs
• Assisting in handling enquiries after a workshop
• Attending training and development to support early intervention programs
• Self-evaluating effectiveness against your own job description
• Facilitate workshops live, online and hybrid workshops
• Work closely with internal staff to successfully coordinate, deliver and facilitate Mind Blank programs

Our ideal candidate has:

• Some experience in presenting, teaching, educating, or performing; ideally to primary school and high school age groups, and/or workplace environments
• Has the ability to engage, inspire and motivate audiences through face-to-face and digital mediums

• A current Driver’s Licence

Essential selection criteria

• As a Facilitator, they must hold a valid and current Working with Children Check or Police check that is relevant to the State and Territory in which they work.
• A tertiary qualification (Advanced Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree) in social or youth work, human or community services or other relevant field
